GOOD MORNING ROBERTSON COUNTY!!

Over the past few days, we have received several calls related to scams.  Unfortunately, scammers do not take the holiday season off as a matter of fact they seem to be more present.

We want to remind you that if you receive a call from someone telling you that you owe a past due bill and to take care of the past due bill you simply have to go to the nearest store that sells Green Dot cards, purchase one with the amount they provide you, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

This is also true is someone calls you claiming to be law enforcement and they tell you that you have a warrant but to take care of the warrant you simply have to go to the nearest store that sells Green Dot cards, purchase one with the amount they provide you, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

There will NEVER be a time that a company you do regular business with or law enforcement will ever ask you to go and purchase a Green Dot card to satisfy a debt or to take care of a warrant!!!

We recommend that you disconnect the phone call and reach out to the business that they claim to be from or local law enforcement and ask questions. 

Please do NOT provide any personal information or any type of funds to these scammers!!
